Old Teams, Good Teams, Young Teams, Bad Teams

January 29, 2008 9:42 AM

A very informative series of charts from Tom Ziller on Ballhype compare the age of various teams to how much they win.

It's no surprise that older teams tend to be good, and younger teams tend to be bad.

But then there are those teams that are neither young nor good -- Bienvenidos a Miami. That's not the place to be. And there are some young teams in the sweet spot -- Portland, Utah, and the Lakers are happily in that mix.

Also, did you know that last summer the youngest team in the league, the Boston Celtics, became the eighth-oldest?

Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz
