Golden State vs. Dallas Classic

May 2, 2007 12:52 AM

A really fun game. Dallas won. Game six coming up in Oakland. That should be magic.

Dallas was up big early, then down nine with about three minutes to play. But Nowitzki hit some big threes and Devin Harris was a bull.

Oddly, on a couple of key late plays Golden State looked a little gun shy. Yes, I'm talking about Golden State. The Warriors. Passing up shots. Weird.

I have watched and re-watched Baron Davis's sixth foul. That was pretty bogus. Yes, he rushed up to Josh Howard in the open court and swung an arm. That was stupid. But he made minimal contact, and the referee who made the call was on the far side, not in position to see whether or not there was any real impact. From his point of view, it must have looked like it. But to foul out the best player in the playoffs so far? Too bad. Plus, now Golden State fans will be bitter.

I'll be chatting here for a little while tonight.
