Block that kick

South Carolina lined up to try a 42-yard field goal that would have given the Gamecocks a 13-10 lead with just under six minutes to play in the third quarter last Thursday night. But Vanderbilt's Greg Billinger got great penetration up the middle to block Ryan Succop's kick, and John Stokes recovered at the Vanderbilt 42. Five plays later, Vanderbilt quarterback Chris Nickson was standing in the end zone, and the Commodores never looked back in winning 24-17 for their first win over a nationally ranked team at home since 1992.
