Pac-10 fans... you need to step it up.
Look here.
Wrote Jeff of "Donors Choose": "The Pac-10 is doing OK but we'd love to see their fans step up."
This is part of SI.com's Stewart Mandel's "Conference Showdown," which is such a good idea it's strange ESPN.com didn't think of it (drat).
So give... it will make you feel better and it will earn you a pass for your more obnoxious fan moments at the stadium this fall.
And, while we're looking at good causes, wanted to throw this in from a California press release:
Cal will be working to support Project Michelle (ProjectMichelle.com) a group formed to help Michelle Maykin, a Cal graduate and season ticket holder who was diagnosed with leukemia in February of 2007. Members of the Cal football team, its coaching staff and the University athletic department staff will be registering to be potential donors at the marrow drive being held at Saturday's Fan Appreciation Day [which runs from noon to 2 p.m.]. The team encourages all fans to register as well on Saturday.
