There are a lot of links to catch up on after a busy Memorial Day weekend. I've had nothing but time to sort through them while lying in bed all weekend. So here you go.

• The Fort Worth Star-Telegram did a nice feature on Buffalo coach Turner Gill and his transformation of Buffalo football program. Gill went to high school in Fort Worth.

• Fresno Bee columnist Matt James writes that Fresno State coach Pat Hill still has some tricks up his sleeve.

• The Charlotte Observer had a story about East Carolina coach Skip Holtz and his dream of winning a national championship.

• Louisiana Tech athletics director and football coach Derek Dooley is pushing his athletic department forward despite the recession.

• UNLV's decision to play a 13th game in 2010 is one that could help the school financially.

• Desmond Conner, the UConn beat writer for the Hartford Courant, responds to a mailbag question about the Huskies chances against Notre Dame.

• Ron Kantowski of the Las Vegas Sun lays out some ways for the UNLV athletic department to save some money.

Buffalo Bulls, Fresno State Bulldogs, East Carolina Pirates, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, Nevada-Las Vegas Rebels, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
