As we get into the summer, the links selection is getting slim. But with 54 teams, there's always something to read about.
• Reported yesterday by the Idaho Statesman, University of Idaho defensive coordinator Mark Criner was arrested on a DUI charge Monday morning. Criner has been placed on leave with pay.
• North Texas sophomore defensive end Kyle Russo has been granted a transfer to finish his collegiate career at a school that offers a law school with his area of emphasis.
• John Haynsworth of Blue and Gold Illustrated writes that he thinks Jimmy Clausen can lead Notre Dame to a national title.
• And finally, an interesting and sad story about Gail Parker, a former Marshall football coach who died suddenly over the weekend. Parker was the coach of Marshall's freshman team in 1970 and was asked to drive home from East Carolina the night of the Marshall football plane crash.
