• Utah, BYU and TCU are the top targets in the Mountain West Conference and the other coaches in the conference aren't hesitant to say that those are the schools they're targeting.
• Boise State juniors worked out for pro scouts on Saturday. One player of interest was cornerback Kyle Wilson, who decided to stay for his senior season despite interest from the NFL.
• The Air Force Academy is trimming the fat, so to speak, by chartering a smaller plane with fewer seats, which might make for some uncomfortable seating arrangements for bigger linemen.
• Marshall football players Darius Marshall and DeQuan Bembry were both arrested this past weekend for drug possession, putting coach Mark Snyder in a tough spot in terms of discipline.
• And finally, an interesting profile in the SMU Daily Campus about how the death penalty imposed on SMU football in 1987 affected both the football program and the school in different ways.
