UAB-UCF game moved to avoid Iron Bowl

After being upstaged by Alabama and Auburn moving the Iron Bowl to Friday, Nov. 27, UAB and Central Florida officials decided to move their regular-season finale to Saturday to avoid competing for fans.

The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but the Iron Bowl was moved to that date a few weeks ago to accommodate CBS' television request. The UAB-UCF game was a Friday game so it could be broadcast on CBS College Sports.

Now it's unclear whether the game will be televised at all.

Memphis and Tulsa announced earlier this month that it was moving its Nov. 28 game to Nov. 27 to garner the television spot from CBS College Sports.

Currently, the Mountain West schedule notes that CBS College Sports is scheduled to televise Utah at BYU at 3 p.m. MT and San Diego State at UNLV at 6 p.m. PT on that Saturday.
