With most of spring football in the books, it's time to look ahead to the fall as many teams have already started doing. One of the biggest questions in the fall is going to be starting quarterbacks.
• Oddly, two Mountain West reporters from different papers wrote about the challenge of finding a starting quarterback this morning. Austin Ward of the Casper Star-Tribune wrote that the Mountain West is struggling to find quality starting quarterbacks, while Kelly Lyell of the Coloradoan shares his opinion.
• Junior Brian Anderson is hoping to restore confidence to Marshall's quarterbacking position after taking the lead for the job in the spring.
• The Memphis Commercial Appeal breaks down Southern Miss' chances of winning the Conference USA East title. And also touts East Carolina as one of the main contenders.
• Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal Constitution claims that Boise State coach Chris Petersen might be the best college football coach in the country.
• Speaking of Boise State, Ferd Lewis of the Honolulu Advertiser writes that Boise State makes its success with averages Joes not pros.
• And just because spring practice has ended at Hawaii doesn't mean the Warriors have stopped working toward making 2009 better than 2008.
