We're getting to that time of year when the links are getting more difficult to find.
The majority of spring practices are wrapping up this weekend and so too will the links portion of the blog. But I'm doing my best to scour the Internet for all things non-BCS, including these wonderful links:
• Sophomore middle linebacker Pat Schiller might be working his way into the starting lineup with the progress he's shown this spring.
• New head football coach DeWayne Walker is placing special emphasis on New Mexico State's secondary since it's a position close to his heart.
• Chris Jones decided to switch from quarterback to cornerback last July and now, as spring practices start to wind down for UNLV, Jones might have earned himself a starting role with the Rebels.
• Several young Marshall players are using this spring to impress their coaches and steadily move up the depth chart for the fall.
• Transfer running back Brandon Jackson and safety Levin Neal have stepped in for injured players and given East Carolina coach Skip Holtz more choices as he looks ahead to the fall.
