Michael Ream, a defensive tackle that played in all 12 games for Bowling Green, has been released from the team for a violation of team rules, the university announced Friday.
"We are disappointed that we had to take this step, but when a student-athlete makes a poor decision he must live with the consequences of his decision," coach Dave Clawson said in a statement.
Ream started 10 games last season and recorded 27 tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception. The senior finishes his career with 55 tackles in 31 games.
