I've never been one to celebrate April Fool's Day. Just never really got into it. But as I was searching for stories today for the lunchtime links, I found that it was a little tedious sorting through the April Fools stories to get to the real ones.

Like, did you know that Buffalo turned down an offer to be in the Big East? Or that Mike Sanford has been committed for saying that UNLV could be a BCS contender?

Ah, April Fool's Day. Where would our society be without it?

Here are your real links for the day:

• I meant to post this story yesterday, but missed it. Army is moving its 6-foot-10 left tackle to wide receiver. Seriously, the picture is enough to make you want to read this story.

• The line was the strength of Tulsa's offense last year, but so far this spring it looks like it's going to need some work.

• The injuries are mounting, but new Wyoming coach Dave Christensen is trying to make his team tough for the 2009 season.

• UAB left tackle Matt McCants learned the hard way that academics does pay off on the field after being suspended for not keeping up with his schoolwork.

• Yesterday, I linked a story about Hawaii players being tossed from practice for not wearing the right shoes. Today, Tulane players are running sprints for not cleaning up their locker room.

• Air Force sophomore tailback Savier Stephens refused to be interviewed for a story about him, but I'm still linking the story.

• And just one day into spring practices, two players have left the Marshall football program. One because of injury and one who just decided to transfer.

Army Black Knights, Tulsa Golden Hurricane, Wyoming Cowboys, Alabama-Birmingham Blazers, Tulane Green Wave, Air Force Falcons, Marshall Thundering Herd
