DURHAM, N.C. -- Just arrived in Durham.
It's a little rainy, but I think that's supposed to be gone by game time. I believe I'm staying in the same hotel as the team. If I'm not, then I'm in a hotel with a lot of people dressed in Notre Dame warmups and carrying Notre Dame bags.
Since I've been out of pocket most of the day, I decided to cruise the Internet for everything I missed. I've included a couple of links below to get your football weekend started. And if you're craving a football fix immediately, Memphis is beating Louisville on ESPN.
• Michael Rothstein of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette has a great story about the tragic events that changed Kerry Neal's life in 2005.
• Jay Drew of the Salt Lake Tribune asks, "How good are the Cougars?" BYU has not played the toughest schedule, so Drew says the jury is still out.
• Florida International will soon decide which players to redshirt this season.
• Western Michigan coach Bill Cubit no longer keeps tabs on how everyone else is doing in the Mid-American Conference. He only care about his Broncos.
• The Bleacher Report believes Toledo has a chance to beat Michigan in the Big House this weekend.
• It might have been a year ago, but Wyoming hasn't forgotten Utah's third-quarter onside kick during last year's 50-0 Utes win.
• And back to Mr. Rothstein, who sheds some light on the taunting that often goes on during games.
