Here are the most interesting stories Wednesday in the AFC North:
- For the first time since his concussion, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger met with the local media and deemed himself ready to go for Sunday's playoff game against the San Diego Chargers.
Morning take: Interestingly, Roethlisberger credits the natural grass at Heinz Field for giving him just a mild concussion. Opposing players around the league have complained about the same surface for years.
Morning take: Good for Palmer and the Bengals to finally bring closure to this subject. Now he can focus on getting healthy for the 2009 season.
- Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco wants to play better than he did last time against the Tennessee Titans, when he threw two picks in a 13-10 loss in October.
Morning take: The Titans are a tough team to throw against because they drop so many players into coverage. Baltimore's running game will be key so Flacco doesn't have to press the issue.

Morning take: Indeed, Mangini has a great story that started as an intern in Cleveland. Browns fans hope that story remains a positive if he becomes the next head coach.
