Another week, another loss for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Quarterback Brett Favre and the New York Jets pulled away in the second half to take a 26-14 victory over the Bengals. It marked the first 0-6 start of the Marvin Lewis era in Cincinnati.

The Bengals played tough for three quarters but eventually were outmanned and outclassed by a more talented New York team. The Bengals were within 17-14 midway through the third quarter before the Jets scored nine unanswered points in the second half.

Without starting quarterback Carson Palmer (elbow), Cincinnati's offense doesn't have any big-play ability. Backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had his second start of the season and his longest throw was for 16 yards. He finished with 152 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Fitzpatrick did show some improvement in his second start by not committing a turnover Sunday. That will be key moving forward if Palmer continues to rest and get healthy.

The schedule doesn't get any easier for the Bengals, who host the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) next week.
