MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins left tackle Jake Long, the No. 1 draft pick in April, is finding the NFL trickier than college.

Long played his last 26 games at left tackle for the University of Michigan, and in that time he was whistled for one penalty. That was a remarkable span of 1,743 plays.

But he already has been called for two against the New York Jets in his NFL debut. Both penalties wiped out Chad Pennington first-down scrambles.

Long was called for tripping in the second quarter to wipe out a 25-yard Pennington run and holding in the third quarter to negate an 8-yard run.
