Will Devin Hester's new contract accelerate the healing process on his tight hamstring? So goes the speculation at the Chicago Bears' training camp in Bourbonnais, Ill.
Hester held out the first two days of camp but returned early Friday morning. An apparent hamstring injury kept him out of practice Friday and Saturday, but it seemed clear that Hester wasn't going to begin practicing until the team finalized his extension. According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, the deal is worth at least $30 million, including $15 million guaranteed.
Now that he has signed the new deal, Hester should be on the field Sunday afternoon for the Bears' 3 p.m. CT practice. Stay tuned.
