Cowboys Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar just told me via phone that he has a broken right foot and will be out for 6-8 weeks. This comes on the heels of learning that quarterback Tony Romo will miss a month with a broken right pinkie finger.

McBriar won't have to undergo surgery, but he has one main fracture and two hairline fractures. The injury occurred when the Cardinals' Sean Morey blocked a punt in overtime, leading to Arizona's 30-24 victory Sunday.

McBriar said he thinks he must have made contact with Morey's knee during the collision. It looks like the Cowboys will also be without rookie running back Felix Jones (hamstring) for a couple of weeks.
