Dan LeFevour will reportedly be featured in a 60-foot billboard.

After three days of moving -- and several more still remaining -- I have traveled 750 miles from Columbia, Mo., to Denver, Colo., to bring you Morning Coffee. Sorry it's a little late, but I'm still adjusting to this whole time-zone thing (yes, I know I gain an hour).

Today, we visit the Mid-American Conference. The MAC's media days are this week and unfortunately I will not be there. However, I will be tuned in to all that's going on there and do my best to bring you any news out of Detroit.

The big news Monday, however, will actually be unveiled tomorrow. I was dropped an e-mail that Central Michigan will be unveiling a 60-foot billboard of quarterback Dan LeFevour on the backside of Comerica Park's scoreboard that faces Ford Field.

I'll have pictures tomorrow from the official unveiling, but I wanted to put it out there. The billboard is 30 feet by 60 feet and fills ad space the university purchased to advertise the school. Initially, LeFevour was not the center of the campaign. It was probably going to be some girl jumping into the air after receiving her degree (doesn't every school have that billboard?), but the university marketing gurus and the athletic department got together and decided that LeFevour, a junior, was the most recognizable face of the university.

Joey Heisman, anyone?

If you're going to put a Chippewa on a billboard to bring prospective students to campus, LeFevour is a great choice. He has boyish good looks and is a stellar student. He was the MAC Freshman of the Year two years ago, the MAC Offensive Player of the Year last year, he even has his own fan page (though they spell his name wrong in the header).

But he hasn't beaten a BCS team -- yet.

Central Michigan is 0-7 against BCS teams with LeFevour as the starter. Granted, he has put up some great numbers against these teams and not gotten a lot of help from his defense. Central Michigan plays three BCS teams this year beginning at Georgia on Sept. 6, so he'll get his chance to earn some BCS street cred.

So if you're in the Detroit area, head over to the sports parks to see Dan LeFevour larger than life. I welcome all photos.

Central Michigan Chippewas, Dan LeFevour
