Potomac's Devonta Tabannah can do a little bit of everything. The 5-foot-10 junior has accumulated 840 yards on offense this season and is one of head coach Chris Davidson's most consistent performers on defense.
In Potomac's 46-0 victory over Forestville, Tabannah touched the ball three times and totaled 147 yards and two touchdowns.
Tabannah had one rush for 38 yards, one reception for 44 yards and a touchdown and one punt return for 65 yards and a touchdown against Forestville.
"Devonta Tabannah is doing great. He is by far our most consistent player," Davidson stated via e-mail. "He starts at wide receiver and cornerback for us, but is our backup quarterback and has played some tailback."
Tabannah gave an indication over the summer that he would have a standout junior season. At the Nike Baltimore Combine, Tabannah ran a 4.68 40-yard dash and had a 33-inch vertical jump for an overall SPARQ rating of 87.69.
On the season, Tabannah has 137 yards rushing, 393 receiving yards and six touchdowns along with 283 return yards and three touchdowns. He is also 3-for-3 passing for 27 yards.
Defensively, he has totaled 38 tackles (17 solo, 21 assisted).
