PLAYER TO WATCH
Peyton Jenkins, a 14-year-old 2012 pitcher, continues to impress in the circle. She throws about 60-61 with a drop ball as her best pitch and curve ball, change up, and screw ball to go with it.

Coach Jeff Filali on Jenkins : "She has so much potential for her age.  If she continues to progress and increase her velocity over the next four years to go with her movement, she is going to be fun to watch. She's already touching 60-61, but has a good build to get stronger.

• Tulsa Elite Easton 7 - Tulsa Shootout 2

Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) pitched the first three perfect innings, allowing no hits and striking out 7.  Then, Elite's 14-year-old Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final three innings and allowed only two hits and one earned run.  
Hannah Martin ('09 - Drury Univ.) was three for three; Amy Graham ('09 - Okla State ) was three for three with a single, double and triple and scored two runs; Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) was two for three; Javen Henson ('10 - OU) hit a solo homerun.

• Tulsa Elite Easton 8 - Wichita Mustangs 0

Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) pitched the first four shutout innings, allowing only two hits and striking out 11. Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final two innings and allowed no hits.
Bailee Cartwright ('10) was two for three; Tarra Underhill ('10) was two for two with a triple and two RBIs; Kelsie Armstrong ('09) was two for two; Kaytie Spencer ('11) hit a two-run triple.

• Tulsa Elite Easton 4 - Texas Pirettes 1

Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) pitched the first four innings, allowing only two hits and striking out three. Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final inning and allowed no hits and had two strikeouts.
Tarra Underhill ('10) was two for three; Kelsie Armstrong ('09) was two for two; Sarah Mauzey (uncommitted '09) was two for two.

• OK Ultimate-Quintero 5 - Tulsa Elite Easton 3

The weather made conditions hard for both pitchers (Elite's Kelsie Armstrong versus Ultimate's Kaci Quintero) throughout the course of the game.  Ultimate put up five runs on six hits in the top of the first inning. From there Ultimate scored one more run during the three innings Armstrong was in the game. Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final three innings and allowed only two hits. Elite put up seven hits and three runs against Quintero in the first three innings. Towards the end of the game they could only manage two hits against Ultimate's '09 lefty, Lindsy Moore.  Hannah Martin ('09 - Drury Univ) was two for three; Tarra Underhill ('10) was two for two;

• Tulsa Elite Easton 5 - Oklahoma Jitterbugs 3

Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the complete-game and allowed only two hits, had three strikeouts and allowed one earned run.

 

• Texas Storm DeMarini 2 - Tulsa Elite Easton 0

This game was a pitcher's duel through the first four innings as Storm's hurler threw a no-hitter with eight Ks while Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) threw a two-hitter with five Ks, but gave up a solo homerun in the fourth.  Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final inning and allowed only one hit.

Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) pitched the first three shutout innings, allowing only two hits and striking out six.  Again, Elite's Peyton Jenkins ('12) pitched the final two innings and allowed only two hits and no runs.  Elite put up six hits and scored the sole run of the game on a RBI single in the second inning by Hannah Martin ('09 - Drury Univ.) scoring Bailee Cartwright (uncommitted '10).

Peyton Jenkins ('12) had a no-hitter through the first three innings with six Ks. Then she gave up one earned in the fourth inning and after two consecutive errors in a row with two outs, she allowed a two-run homerun.  Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) closed the final two innings, allowing only one hit and one unearned run.  
Bailee Cartwright (uncommitted '10) with 2.7 speed was two for three with a three-run homerun and scored three times; Peyton Jenkins (12') was two for three; Javen Henson ('10-OU) and Amy Graham ('09- Okla. State ) both scored a run.

Elite's Kelsie Armstrong (uncommitted '09) picked up the win, throwing the first three innings allowing only one hit and no earned runs. Peyton Jenkins ('12) closed out the final two innings with a no-hitter and three Ks;.
Elite's Tarra Underhill (uncommitted '10) was two for three; Kelsie Armstrong was two for two; Javen Henson ('10-OU) was two for two with a solo homerun; Amy Graham ('09-Okla State) and Hannah Martin ('09 = Drury Univ) were two for two.
