The boys soccer team at Hanover (N.H.) extended its undefeated streak to 42 matches with a 4-0 victory over Laconia (N.H.) on Wednesday in a contest between Class I teams.

Another Hanover (14-0-1) state title may make a case for this mid-sized public school to be considered the overall No. 1 in New Hampshire.

Laconia fell to 12-2-1.

Hanover held a 1-0 lead until a three-goal outburst in the final 10 minutes to put away the match.

SCORING SPREE: Ashley Boyle did not have a goal this season but that changed quickly in Manchester's (Conn.) 5-4 overtime win against Simsbury (Conn.) on Tuesday.

Manchester trailed 4-1 with 10 minutes remaining when Boyle scored twice and assisted on another goal to send the match to overtime. In OT, she netted her third goal of the match - and season - for the 5-4 victory.

MILESTONES: St. Benedict's coach Rick Jacobs is nearing the 500-win mark in his 24th season as the GrayBees head coach. His first chance at win No. 500 could come Wdnesday in the New Jersey Prep A state semifinals.
