When Downingtown East (Pa.) stumbled, crosstown rival Downingtown West (Pa.) was there to snag the No. 1 ranking in Pennsylvania.

East, a strong state title contender, was upset by Owen J. Roberts (Pa.) - a team that appears to be playing up to the big-time opponents, ending its stay at state No. 1 and in the FAB 50 Top 10. Downingtown West, powered by a 3-0 win over previously undefeated and FAB 50-ranked Strath Haven (Pa.), inherits the top spot.

La Cueva (N.M.) and St. Joseph's (Conn.), both No. 2 in their respective states last week, move into the No. 1 spots with wins over last week's No. 1 teams.

Strongsville (Ohio) not only strengthened its case for a high national ranking, but it flaunted the power of Ohio soccer. Multi-goal wins over a state-ranked Minnesota squad (8-0) and the top-ranked team in West Virginia (4-0) clearly moves the Ohio teams to the front of the Mid-East race.

Today, we release the weekly ESPN Rise state-by-state rankings with the ESPN Rise FAB 50 to appear Tuesday on ESPNRise.com.
