Sure, the United States men failed to advance in the Olympic men's soccer tournament, but that did not mean the States went unrepresented in the second round.

Guiseppe Rossi, who was born in the United States and grew up in Clifton, N.J., scored twice in Italy's 3-2 loss to Belgium on Saturday. Rossi finished the tournament with four goals.

Rossi's father, Fernando, was the high school coach at Clifton, where the younger Rossi was set to attend. However, just before his sophomore year, Guiseppe and his mother relocated to Italy, where the family still had citizenship, in hopes of chasing a professional dream. After a few trying seasons which his father said was tied to Guiseppe not being born in Italy, he secured a spot on the national side. He currently plays for Villareal in the Spanish premier league.
