This year's theme for the Tournament of Champions at Duncanville High School is Building on Tradition.  The tournament begins today and features the top teams in Texas, particularly Amarillo and Austin Westlake, as they compete for the championship crown.  The Duncanville volleyball program and tournament have a tradition of success built on the back of retired head coach, Jan Briggs.

The Tournament of Champions, hosted by Duncanville High School (Duncanville, Tex.) ranks among the top high school volleyball tournaments in the country. A competitive field of teams, hand picked referees, fun atmosphere, and one of the best venues combine to make this tournament tops in Texas.  Often, similar to last year, the Texas State Champion in Class 5A (the largest school class in Texas) and the Tournament of Champions winner are the same team.  Last year, Amarillo accomplished this feat and ranked No. 1 in Tex this year, hopes to repeat the dual achievement.
