The following are this week's ESPN Rise National Soccer Players of the Week. Players are recognized for their performances from the previous week (Monday through Sunday).

BOYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Walter Rodriguez, St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.), Sr., F

Rodriguez scored the game-winners in St. Benedict's 1-0 wins over FAB 50-ranked Lower Merion (Pa.) and Don Bosco Prep. On the season, Rodriguez has a team-best seven
goals and six assists.

Others

Nick Maglasang, St. Louis University High (Mo.): Maglasang's play proved pivotal as SLUH avenged its two losses with back-to-back wins over St. John Vianney and Christian Brothers to claim the CYC/Bob Guelker Memorial Tournament title. The event featured four teams in the FAB 50. Maglasang scoerd once in SLUH's 2-1 win over Christian Brothers, handing the team its first loss of the season. He then scored the only goal in a 1-0 title win over Vianney.

Chris Ritter, New Trier (Ill.): Ritter scored New Trier stayed perfect with a 2-1 win over Lake Forest. Last year Ritter led the team in assists as it made a state tournament appearance. Now, he has taken over as a goalscorer for a team ranked No. 4 in the ESPNRise FAB 50.

GIRLS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Taylor Davidson, Baylor School (Tenn.), Sr., GK

Davidson, a keeper, has posted seven shutouts, helping Baylor to a No. 11 ranking in the ESPNRise FAB 50. Last week, Davidson was in net for Baylor's 2-0 victory over public school rival Germantown Houston. She is a four-year starter who has helped Baylor to two state titles.

Heidi Sabaturo, Pennington Prep (N.J.): Sabaturo netted three goals as Pennington handled Archbishop Ryan (Pa.) 7-2 on Saturday, giving Pennington coach Bill Hawkey his 300th career victory.

Cori Stark, Belle Vernon (Pa.): The high-scoring forward became the school's all-time leading goal scorer when she netted career goal No. 107 last week.
