BOYS SCORES

No. 1 St. Ignatius (Ohio) 1, Mayfield (Ohio) 0: Kayvon Afsarifard scored on a corner kick from Luke Blade with two minutes left as St. Ignatius defeated Mayfield. Joe Kalt tied an Ohio state career record with his 42nd shutout.

No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas (Kan.) 2, Shawnee Heights (Kan.) 1: Emilio Quezada scored both goals as the Saints held off an upset bid in the Kansas 5A state quaretrfinals.

No. 7 Arlington (N.Y.) 2, Suffern (N.Y.) 0: Peter Inserillo and Sean Fitzpatrick scored to lead Arlington to a Class AA Section 1 quarterfinal victory. 

No. 27 Martin Luther King (N.Y.) 6, Curtis (N.Y.) 0: The Kings advanced to the PSAL semifinals for the 14th straight year following a victory Tuesday afternoon.

No. 33 Lyons (Ill.) 1, No. 2 Neuqua Valley (Ill.) 0: After suffering two setbacks to Neuqua Valley during the season, Lyons won when it mattered most -- in a Class 3A supersectional clash. Lyons advances to this week's state tournament.

No. 36 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) 2, No. 37 St. John the Baptist (N.Y.) 1 (3OT): Nick Masotto scored the game-winner on a header in overtime. St. Anthony's willface Chaminade (N.Y.) in the Long Island Catholic League final Saturday.

GIRLS SCORES

No. 1 Woodbury (Minn.) 3, Eagan (Minn.) 0: Woodbury got goals from three players and its defense nailed down its 20th shutout of the season in a state semifinal victory. Woodbury faces No. 41 Wayzata (17-0-5) in the state final.
