After reading Jeremy Green's article about the 10 best rushing teams in the NFL [Insider], I think this much is clear: The best division for running backs in the NFL is the AFC West.
Two teams in Green's top 10, No. 1 San Diego and No. 9 Kansas City, are in the division. The two other AFC West teams, Denver and Oakland, arguably could in the top 10 as well.
Denver's running game is proven to be one of the best in the NFL on a yearly basis and the Raiders might have one of the most explosive, versatile running games in the NFL by season's end with the three-headed monster of Darren McFadden, Justin Fargas and Michael Bush.
This division can get it done on the ground and if the Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders have any chance of staying in striking distance of the Chargers, it will be because of the strong rushing attack.
