Add 'hero' to tight end's resume

Add another chapter to the Pro Football Hall of Fame career of Tony Gonzalez. The Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end saved a man's life in a Southern California restaurant last week by applying the Heimlich maneuver.

Gonzalez has been a model NFL player throughout his career and this news cements his reputation as one of the faces of the league. In a league that is often soiled by off-field transgressions, this heroic move by a star player is a reminder that there is also good news to focus on in the NFL.

Gonzalez talks about performing the Heimlich maneuver on the man who was choking.
