Brett Favre called it "all rumors." The Green Bay Packers had no reaction. But how do Wisconsinites and the team's fans in general feel about the news that retired quarterback Brett Favre has expressed an "itch" to play in 2008?

Here is a sampling:

Fine, says Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. If Favre wants to come back, let him compete with Aaron Rodgers for the starting job.
Packers fans express every view imaginable in this Milwaukee Journal Sentinel video, shot at Summerfest. (Check out the guy with the umbrella hat. Classic.)
Tom Oates of the Wisconsin State Journal hopes Favre's departure from Green Bay doesn't turn ugly. But at least Favre rescued Rodgers from his first round of negative publicity.
