Walker's vote: No. 16

Cumulative vote: No. 21

Why: I am alone with my ESPN.com staff in believing this could be a bounce-back year for the Ravens. I have Baltimore rated higher than anyone on the panel at No. 16, which is the equivalent of a .500 or middle-of-the-pack team. My colleague Bill Williamson had the Ravens rated as low as No. 26. A lot of weight is being put on last year's 5-11 finish, which could be deceiving due to injuries. But only time will tell.

Walker's vote: No. 24

Cumulative vote: No. 24

Why: My individual vote was right in line with the panel's overall vote, so there's not much to explain here. Now it appears Chad Johnson is on board with the program, so that will certainly help the Bengals. But the biggest concern remains the defense.

Browns logoCleveland Browns

Walker's vote: No. 8

Cumulative vote: No. 10

Why: Despite recent ailments to three key contributors in cornerback Daven Holly (knee), offensive guard Ryan Tucker (hip) and receiver Joe Jurevicius (knee), the Browns are still considered a top 10 team, which is a good indicator of their depth. I placed Cleveland at No. 8 but have no problem with the team landing two spots lower. They still have a lot to prove.

Steelers logoPittsburgh Steelers

Walker's vote: No. 6

Cumulative vote: No. 7

Why: The Steelers are still the team to beat in the AFC North according to the overall vote. The next closest team (Cleveland) is three spots down. Offensive line concerns and having the NFL's toughest schedule don't bother the panel all that much. The Steelers may end up with fewer wins than several teams rated below them but still could do damage if they get into the postseason.
