Broncos rookie running back Ryan Torain checked in Tuesday from the NFL Rookie Symposium in Carlsbad, Calif. Torain, a fifth-round pick from Arizona State, is one of 252 NFL draft picks who were required to attend the gathering this week. It started Sunday and ends Wednesday.
The rookies are hearing from current and former players and league officials during the symposium. They are educated on all facets of NFL life from player conduct to financial advice to sex education. Torain admitted that his head was spinning from all the information.
"These are long days but they are important days," Torain said. "A lot of questions that I had in my head were answered this week."
Torain didn't hesitate when asked which seminar he attended was the most important.
"It was the financial advice," Torain said. "We are going to make a lot of money, and we have to be smart about it. It's all about making good decisions."
