Here is a glaring example of how much more rookie help the Kansas City Chiefs picked up than their AFC West foes. The league rookie pool allotment is out and the Chiefs _ who because they had 13 draft picks last month have more rookie pool money than any other team _ have $8,221,790 in pool money.

That is more than double than AFC West competition Oakland and San Diego combined. Each team had five picks each last month. Oakland has $4,119,700 in allotment rookie pool money while the Chargers were given $2,627,940. Oakland has significantly more pool money than San Diego because it has to sign No. 4 picks Darren McFadden. San Diego's top choice was Arizona cornerback Antoine Cason at No. 27.

Denver, the other AFC West team, has $4,877,060 in rookie pool money. Denver had nine picks, with No. 12 overall pick Ryan Clady, a left tackle from Boise State, being the highest pick.
