Posted by ESPN.com's Kevin Seifert During a question-and-answer session this week in Norman, Okla., someone asked Minnesota Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson to name the toughest NFL team he has played against.
Peterson's response: The San Diego Chargers.
Quickly, he added: "That was a joke."
Peterson is a very serious fellow, but he has an underrated sense of humor. The Chargers, of course, were the team Peterson rung up for an NFL-record 296 yards on Nov. 4, 2007.
Peterson, who was appearing at his first annual football camp in Norman, Okla., eventually named the Washington Redskins as the toughest opponent he faced last season.
