Houston Texans seventh-round draft pick Alex Brink, a quarterback from Washington State, has signed a four-year deal.

Brink will try to unseat Shane Boyd, who was on the roster for the last four games last season but did not play, as the Texans No. 3 QB behind Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels.

"The top two are clearly the top two," said Brink's agent, Ken Staninger. "Whether they'll keep three or not, I don't know. They may not know. What I do know is they'll give Alex an opportunity to get on the field and see what he can do."

Brink is the second draft pick signed by the Texans, who agreed with sixth-round safety Dominique Barber last week.
