  • Pete Prisco has his annual overrated/underrated list posted on CBSsports. No surprises with the Cowboys. Roy Williams is the obvious choice for overrated and former Auburn standout Jay Ratliff has exceeded expectations at nose tackle. For the Giants, Prisco went with Jeremy Shockey for overrated and right guard Chris Snee for underrated. His timing is good because the Giants just locked up Snee for six more years.

Pete went with Asante Samuel and Brian Westbrook in Philadelphia as overrated and underrated, respectively. I know a lot of people think Samuel became an All Pro because of the Patriots' system, but I do think he's a significant upgrade over Lito Sheppard. Santana Moss was the most overrated player for the Redskins, according to Prisco and Anthony Montgomery was most underrated.

  • Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram has a touching story about Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher's friendship with a high school kid from his hometown.
