No surprises from Jevon Kearse or the Titans Tuesday as they addressed for the first time Kearse's DUI arrest early Sunday morning.

After an OTA practice, Kearse basically said he couldn't talk about it, but promised he would when he can. He has hired Nashville attorney Roger May, who's represented several Titans including Steve McNair. Kearse has a July 14 court date.

Pressed about creating a distraction, the defensive end did talk a little.

"I'm still thinking positive out here, I can't bring it onto the football field because this is my job," he said. "I'm thinking positive, keeping my chin up, my head up, everything positive."

Coach Jeff Fisher also delivered standard fare, emphasizing the team has a comprehensive, extensive policy on drinking and driving. (Some of which is reviewed in this blog entry from yesterday.)

"I just hope that the entire organization -- and let's broaden the scope if you will, let's go beyond that -- and say we've got to learn," Fisher said. "Enough's enough. We've got to learn from it and move on.

"Who wouldn't be embarrassed regarding the incident itself? The truth will come out the facts will come out, but nevertheless we're clearly disappointed in the fact that there was an incident."

As he wrapped up his short comments, Kearse did manage to get a laugh from the media gaggle. He referenced his agent when he was asked a question about kids seeing news of the arrest.

"In the words of Drew Rosenhaus, next question," he said.
