The Broncos said Thursday they have resolved their language issue with the contract of Josh Barrett. The contract for the seventh-round draft pick was disapproved by the NFL on Wednesday because of language in the contract. Barrett, a safety from Arizona State, is expected to sign when he returns to Denver on Monday.
In other Broncos rookie contract talks, Denver officials recently met with the agent of first-round pick Ryan Clady in Atlanta for preliminary talks. Still, the two sides don't feel any urgency and think there will be little problem striking a deal before training camp starts July 25.
Meanwhile, several Broncos players attended quarterback Jay Cutler's golf tournament in the Denver area over the course of the past two days.
