Making sense of the Chris Henry legal situation boils down to this: If he's innocent, Henry will be on an NFL field in 2008.

If he's guilty, Henry is done for the season and possibly longer.

It doesn't get more clear-cut than that, as the league office notified Henry and his representation of his outlook for this season.

When contacted this evening, Henry's agent, Marvin Frazier, was adamant in explaining that this is a pending suspension, not an actual suspension.

Henry's trial for assault and criminal damaging charges in Hamilton County, Ohio, will guide the league on what to do with the former Cincinnati Bengals receiver.

"It's all pending his trial on June 26," Frazier said. "Other than that, no comment."
