Michael Strahan, who was the NFL's active sack leader, has retired and is fifth on the list of all-time leaders. Only two players are active on the all-time top 20 list and that is tenuous.
Simeon Rice was cut by Tampa Bay, Denver and Indianapolis last season and ended the year without a job, but he hasn't retired yet. Jason Taylor, the other active player, is in a well-publicized stalemate with the Dolphins.
