Strahan's wild final season

Michael Strahan is joining John Elway and Jerome Bettis.

Like the Broncos' quarterback and Steelers' running back, the Giants' defensive end is retiring from the NFL as a Super Bowl winner.

The storybook ending didn't seem possible last summer. Strahan held out from training camp, causing a major stir. There was rampant talk that Strahan would be traded from the Giants who were incensed that he was staying away from training camp.

However, Strahan finally settled his issue with the Giants and wound up winning his first Super Bowl title. And now he walks away. It's a perfect ending. Yet, last summer, things appeared far from perfect for Strahan.
