Patriots quarterback Tom Brady fielded questions from reporters today in a group setting for the first time since the Super Bowl. His favorite target, Randy Moss, declined interview requests. Brady appeared to be in very good spirits, stressing the importance of 2008 as a new season. He left the impression that the hunger is definitely there.

As great as Brady and the Patriots have been, and as ridiculous as this sounds given the expectations we have for most teams, New England has gone three consecutive seasons without a Super Bowl title, the longest drought of the Bill Belichick era.

"We're always looking to find ways to evolve as a a team and evolve as an offense and you realize that a lot of things we did last year won't work this year," Brady said. "It's important to move forward and understand things that we need to do better. I'm not going to tell you guys (what) because I don't want the Jets to find out, but there is plenty for this team to improve on."

Brady said his injured ankle is feeling fine, and the team isn't dwelling on its Super Bowl defeat. "Coach Belichick has really been preaching to us that what happened last year is something for us to learn from and move on," he said. "In life, you don't reflect too much on what happened in the past. You try to learn from it and build on it. You can only control what you did today, which in this case was a really good practice."
