We'll get a chance to speak with Tom Brady tomorrow in a group setting for the first time since the Patriots' upset loss in the Super Bowl. The ankle injury he downplayed heading into that game appears to be a fading memory.
At one point in practice today, Brady planted and threw a rocket of a deep ball with a tight spiral and distance to spare. The receiver, backup C.J. Jones, arguably should have gotten to the ball, which fell incomplete. But that wasn't the important point. The play served as a reminder that Brady, known for many things beyond arm strength, can really air it out. He also appears a lot more comfortable without the Giants' defensive linemen hanging on him.
