Lockergate is over.
The Packers have taken down Brett Favre's nameplate off his former locker. The fact that the Packers still had Favre's locker intact despite the fact that he retired became a major deal this week.
Now that the locker no longer has Favre's name on it, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said the entire situation was overblown. Of course it was. Everything about Favre is overblown these days. With Favre hinting that he could come back, news that his locker was still in Green Bay added more smoke.
Favre will never be forgotten in Green Bay and the fact that he no longer has a locker there won't lessen the memories.
