Today's injury/rehab series in Hashmarks provided updates on one player from each team based on recent interviews and observations in spring minicamps and OTAs.

After providing an update on Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver Hines Ward, I noticed Steelers fans began grumbling that there was no injury update for running back Willie Parker.

Tough crowd.

But Hashmarks aims to please.

In talking with Parker a few weeks ago, the broken fibula is coming along fine. He definitely hasn't lost any speed in looking at several darting runs he had during veteran minicamp. But Parker and the Steelers were concerned about pounding on the leg too much too soon. So Parker practiced just once a day during the twice-daily sessions.

"If this were the season, I would be out there (practicing),'' Parker told me in the locker room that weekend.

So there is your two-for-one, Steel Town.

Hopefully Cleveland Browns fans don't feel cheated now and want additional injury updates on WR Joe Jurevicius and OT Ryan Tucker.
