Quarterback Philip Rivers wasn't the only high-profile Chargers working off an injury at Friday's minicamp. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson was on the field, too. Tomlinson suffered a torn MCL in the playoffs. He was working Friday.
After the first practice Friday, Tomlinson vowed to be healthy by the time training camp rolls along in late July.
"I'll be 100 percent by then, for sure," Tomlinson said. "I'll be all the way back ... I'm getting there now and it's just May 2."
While Rivers and Tomlinson were on the field, the Chargers still have plenty of walking wounded.
Pro Bowl tight end Antonio Gates (toe), center Nick Hardwick (foot) and defensive tackle Jamal Williams (knee) were all not practicing. Gates and Hardwick may not be ready for the start of the regular season.
