Why does Favre still have a locker?

There's an interesting take on the Packers' decision to keep Brett Favre's locker intact. Yes, Favre still has a locker in Green Bay. His nameplate in still there as is his equipment.

Why? Is this the biggest hint yet that Favre, who has been making a habit this spring of strongly hinting his playing days aren't over, will return? Maybe it's just a tribute but there's other ways to honor a former player. Keeping his locker isn't one of them. It seems that both Favre and the Packers aren't ready to sever ties yet.

Here's another interesting Favre related tidbit: He'll participate in a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Calif., in July. His replacement, Aaron Rodgers, will also participate. Rodgers told reporters in Green Bay recently that he and Favre have traded messages since Favre's retirement announcement but haven't talked to each other. Rodgers said he hopes to spend time with Favre at the golf tournament.
