Jason Taylor is looking a bit like Michael Strahan these days. His desire to continue playing might hinge upon whether the price is right. That's one way to look at the Dolphins' revelation today that Taylor will miss all offseason workouts and possibly training camp as well.
Strahan reportedly asked for $8 million to make his return to the Giants. That is what Taylor is scheduled to earn this season (including $7.5 million in base salary).
Taylor has been increasingly vocal about life after football. He has downplayed the importance of attending offseason workouts and camps, saying he knows how to get into a three-point stance. Bill Parcells and Tony Sparano are trying to establish something new, and Taylor isn't part of it. He sounds like a guy who could take it or leave it, not necessarily in that order -- unless, perhaps, the Dolphins trade him to a winner.
