Indianapolis was awarded Super Bowl XLVI for Feb. 5, 2012, but there's a chance labor issues could interfere.

With NFL owners opting out of the final two years of the collective bargaining agreement Tuesday, there is no cap on the 2010 season. If a new agreement isn't in place before the 2010 season, a lockout in 2011 becomes a possibility because NFL Players Association president Gene Upshaw said he would oppose going back to a cap system if players reach an uncapped year.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said Indianapolis officials have been briefed about the possibility of labor problems, but said that scenario is a long way off and league officials will work toward a new agreement in the meantime.
