An incomplete book review

May 1, 2008 1:31 PM

As I mentioned recently, ESPN personality Kenny Mayne was kind enough to send me a free copy of his new book, "An Incomplete & Inaccurate History Of Sport." I've looked at the cover several times, but still haven't found time to read it.

Fortunately, the folks at Cat Crave blog have provided something that resembles a book review. If you can make it through the lengthy lead-in, there's a huge payoff at the end. Actually that's a bit misleading, but please read this entry anyway.

In other news, some of you have asked me to pass out draft grades this week. Quite honestly, this isn't something I'm particularly interested in doing since we don't have a clue how any of these kids will end up playing. I do agree that the Jaguars and the Panthers paid a huge price to trade up for Derrick Harvey and Jeff Otah.

The explanation in Carolina was that Otah would give the offensive line some personality. Really?

So that's why you let the Eagles hold you hostage at No. 19? Because Otah's going to give the offensive line personality?

NFL draft, Jeff Otah, Derrick Harvey
